NORCOMM 9-1-1 Consolidated Dispatch Center
Established more than 25 years ago, NORCOMM was the first private 9-1-1 call center to dispatch police, fire and EMS services to a wide variety of municipalities. We take great pride in the reputation our organization has earned in the industry for our unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality emergency support services.
Our facility is located completely below ground, in a highly secure environment that utilizes an elaborate system of physical barriers and security systems.
Specifically designed to receive emergency 9-1-1 calls, NORCOMM utilizes modern ergonomic dispatch consoles, radio systems, digital voice logging recorders, and other essential alarm monitoring and dispatch equipment.
Our team of highly experienced and trained professionals dispatch first responders 24/7/365 to emergency situations and also provide logistical support. Utilizing the services of a consolidated 9-1-1 dispatch center is a very cost effective way for government agencies and fire protection districts to access the latest dispatching technology and software applications that otherwise might be out of reach for some municipalities.
Emergency Dispatch Center
The NORCOMM facility can serve as either a primary or secondary PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) for the purpose of receiving trunk to trunk transfers of 9-1-1 calls. Our state of the art technology also allows us to receive fire alarms from either wireless or direct connect systems. We have invested heavily in computer aided dispatch applications and redundant communication and support systems to eliminate any concern about dispatching services being interrupted.  Â
Additionally, NORCOMM offers integrated blue light crime camera monitoring services which have proven to be a great help to local communities in preventing, detecting and responding to criminal activity.
Municipal Alarm Services
NORCOMM also provides wireless fire alarm monitoring systems, which eliminate the expensive of maintaining dedicated phone lines normally found in most commercial properties. Wireless technology also greatly minimizes the number of false alarms that are generated each year.
These services are not only cost effective in many ways, (including no longer having to pay monthly monitoring and phone fees), but also a very reliable method of providing a secure radio transmission to our 9-1-1 center. Bad weather, in addition to causing fires, floods and property damage is the number one reason that traditional phone lines fail. Even the most modern alarm systems are ineffective when they are connected to a broken telephone line.
