Established in 1994, NORCOMM was Illinois’ first private 911 call center serving police, fire, and emergency medical dispatch for villages and fire protection districts.
NORCOMM Public Safety Communications, Inc. provides professional 9-1-1 call reception and dispatch using trained professional call takers, dispatchers, and supervisors. Directors, managers, and supervisors provide administration of our dispatch facilities to maintain quality services and reporting. Directors and managers are APCO® and NENA® members and are highly involved in both organizations. These organizations are committed to enhancing public safety communications.
All NORCOMM dispatchers are certified as Emergency Medical Dispatchers through IAED, NENA Telecommunicator Core Competencies which incorporates Police and Fire/EMS concepts, L.E.A.D.S. and NIMS.

Rosemont Public Safety/Norcomm 911 partner to introduce Live 911
Below is an important news release from Rosemont Public Safety regarding Live 911, a live streaming public safety service that enables officers to hear 9-1-1 calls in real time while working in the field. RPSD and Norcomm began beta testing the service in February of 2021. After extensive testing, the program was officially rolled out in April 2022 to take advantage of the ingenious technology the Live 911 system offers first responders.
